Inmate Medications
The Callaway County Jail staff shall only dispense prescription medications to inmates as approved by the jail physician. Upon admission to the Callaway County Jail, inmates whom are prescribed existing medications may have those medications inventoried during intake; albeit, the medications will not be dispensed without the direct approval of the jail physician. During incarceration, prescription medications obtained through the contracted jail medical provider / pharmacy will result in a standard fee being assessed against the inmate, as allowed pursuant 221.120, RSMo. Inmates may purchase over-the-counter medications through the jail commissary program.
