Inmate Meal Service

Inmates are provided three meals daily (breakfast, lunch, and supper) with consideration given to the daily caloric intake recommendations outlined by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Special dietary needs shall be approved by the jail medical staff prior to any alternative servings. Callaway County purchases jail meal supplies from a local grocer and a regional wholesale supplier, ensuring that adequate meal supply is stocked due to a fluctuating inmate population and nationwide concerns of food shortage.
