Attorney Consultations/Visits

Inmate attorney consultations (visits) shall be scheduled beforehand and are conducted within set hours as outlined by the jail administration. Attorneys seeking inmate visits must contact the Callaway County Jail staff to schedule a visit. Attorneys may be required to produce photo identification and their Missouri Bar Association Card upon request of jail staff prior to visiting with an inmate.   Attorney/inmate visits are conducted in the standard visitor/inmate security booth setting.

Any legal items that need passed to an inmate for review (i.e., signature) will be facilitated by jail staff. Any special accommodations shall be approved by the Callaway County Jail Administrator or a Jail Lieutenant.

All correspondence from attorneys to inmates must be sent through US Mail and be marked "Legal Mail".  This mail will be opened by jail staff in front of the inmate to be checked for contraband only.
