The Callaway County Sheriff's Office Investigations Division is headed by Lt Ryan Lacey.  The investigations division consists of six criminal investigators.  Two investigators specialize in domestic violence investigations and one investigator specializes in drug investigations.

Investigators typically conduct follow-up on felony level offenses including, but not limited to, death investigation, sexual assault, burglary, stealing, and property damage.

Additionally, the two investigators who specialize in domestic violence investigations review all cases of a domestic relationship, as defined by state law, included, but not limited to, assault, tampering, kidnapping, stalking, harassment, and violations of protective orders.

The drug investigator conducts felony drug investigations throughout the county, and too serves as a task force officer with the MUSTANG drug task force.  Overwhelmingly, the thefts in Callaway County are related to the drug trade.  The Callaway County Sheriff's Office aggressively pursues drug violators for this reason.  The agency frequently serves search warrants where methamphetamine and heroin/fentanyl, very deadly drugs, are seized.

Investigators also serve in an on-call capacity so that criminal investigations may be supplemented at anytime.

If you think you can help your sheriff's office by providing information related to any criminal activity, you may do so anonymously through our Crime Stoppers program.
