The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Gregory Anderson, 54, of Jefferson City with the felony offenses of Stealing (two counts) and Domestic Assault (two counts), in addition to misdemeanor resisting arrest.  Anderson is in custody at the Callaway County Jail pending a $15,000.00 bond posting.

The charges are the result of a criminal investigation conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office in the 12000 block of County Road 4021 near Tebbetts / Wainwright on August 28, 2019.  On that date, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance involving Anderson.  Upon the arrival of the initial deputy, Anderson fled on foot.  Several other deputies and state troopers responded to assist.  After searching for Anderson for several hours, it was determined he’d left the area.  Anderson was later captured in Cole County and later transferred to the Callaway County Jail.
