Jefferson City Man Arrested for Drugs, Theft

ARREST:  Patrick J Lutz, 25, Jefferson City, MO

 

CRIMINAL CHARGES: 

 

Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)

Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoid

Two counts Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia

Felony Stealing

Two counts of Felony Property Damage

Stealing

 

SUSPECT INCARCERATED OR BONDED:  Incarcerated, held on $20,000.00

 

FURTHER INVESTIGATION NEEDED:  Yes

 

DETAILS OF INCIDENT:

 

On 4/05/2014 at approximately 4:00 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Deputies located Patrick Lutz at the Carrington Pits National Forrest area just west of Fulton.  Lutz was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine, suspected synthetic cannabinoid and drug paraphernalia.

 

During the course of the arrest for the drug charges, a deputy observed items of copper tubing and air conditioning system radiators.

 

Later that day, another deputy responded to a theft complaint at the Millersburg Lion’s Club that occurred sometime over night.  The items stolen from the Millersburg Lion’s Club matched the description of the items found in Lutz’s vehicle.

 

Lutz was arrested on suspicion of stealing and property damage related to the incident at the Millersburg Lion’s Club.

 

Lutz was also arrested on suspicion of property damager and stealing related to a similar incident at Dry Fork Church near Guthrie that occurred around 3/20/2014.

 

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty
