Deputies make arrests for felony stealing, stolen vehicle, methamphetamine and warrants over weekend patrol

STEALING, STOLEN VEHICLE, METH, AND WARRANT ARRESTS MADE DURING SHERIFF’S OFFICE PATROLS AND INVESTIGATIONS OVER THE WEEKEND

Austin Lomas, 22, of Williamsburg, MO

Floyd Murry, 19, of Centralia, MO

Jess Murrell, 26, of Fulton, MO

Douglass Bowen, 45, of Fulton, MO

Danny Vires Jr., 27, of Fulton, MO

Narrative: 

On February 9, 2020, at approximately 7:27 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies, including a Sheriff’s Office K9 unit, conducted an investigation on West 7th Street near Airway Drive.  During the course of the investigation, deputies came into contact with Dustin Hook, 33, of Fulton, MO.  Hook was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  At the time of arrest, Hook was also wanted reference a felony stealing offense being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office near Calwood.  Hook was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he was booked/processed for Felony Receiving Stolen Property, Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth), and Felony Tampering with Evidence.  Hook is being held without bond, pending a Court bond setting.

On February 9, 2020, at approximately 2:18 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the Green Meadows trailer park near Fulton.  Deputies subsequently located and recovered a vehicle that had been stolen from Fulton on February 8, 2020.  During the course of the investigation, three subjects were arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Austin Lomas, 22, of Williamsburg, MO was booked/processed for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st and is being held on $4,500 bond.  Floyd Murry, 19, of Centralia, MO was booked/processed for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 2nd and later released with summons to appear in Court.  Jess Murrell, 26, of Fulton, MO was booked/processed for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and later released with summons to appear in Court.

On February 9, 2020, at approximately 5:34 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted an investigation in the 4000 block of County Road 216.  During the course of the investigation, the deputy came into contact with Douglass Bowen, 45, of Fulton, MO.  Bowen was a wanted fugitive – wanted parole violator by the Missouri Department of Corrections – Board of Parole.  Bowen was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail where he is being held without bond.

On February 8, 2020, at approximately 10:40 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted an investigation in the 3000 block of County Road 211 in Kingdom City.  During the course of the investigation, the deputy came into contact with Danny Vires Jr, 27, of Fulton, MO.  Vires Jr. was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  Vires Jr. was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and booked/processed for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth).  Vires Jr. was later released with summons for Court appearance.
