Deputies searching for wanted fugitive with multiple felony warrants locate him hiding in a deep freeze

DEPUTIES ARREST WANTED FULTON MAN HIDING IN A DEEP FREEZE

Arrested person information:

Charles Bentley, 55, of Fulton, MO

Narrative:

On November 19, 2019, at approximately 7:11 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a fugitive investigation in the 3000 block of Hilltop Drive near Fulton.  Deputies were seeking Charles Bentley, 55, of Fulton regarding numerous felony Callaway County warrants for charges including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (four counts), Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Assault.

During the search of a residence, deputies subsequently located Bentley hiding in a deep freeze.  Bentley was taken into custody and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Bentley is being held without bond, pending further Court review.
