Deputies arrest wanted Audrain County fugitive after Williamsburg traffic stop

RURAL AREA PROACTIVE PATROLS NETS WANTED AUDRAIN COUNTY FUGITIVE

Arrested person information:

Stephen Kitchen, 42, Fulton

Narrative: 

On September 13, 2019, at approximately 10:19 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling the area of State Road AB and County Road 138 in rural east Callaway County.  During the patrol, the deputy conducted a traffic stop reference a criminal investigation.

During the course of the traffic stop investigation, the deputy contacted Stephen Kitchen, 42, of the Fulton area.  It was determined that Kitchen was a wanted fugitive in Audrain County, MO for a felony Assault 2nd offense.  The Audrain County arrest warrant had been issued in January, 2019.

Kitchen was taken into custody and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Kitchen was later transferred to the custody of the Audrain County Jail.
