Deputies arrest seven for various felony offenses during weekly patrol and investigations

April O’Hara, 35, of Fulton, MO

Tori Taylor, 25, of Silex, MO

Jason Blanton, 45, of Kirksville, MO

Narrative: 

On October 5, 2020, at approximately 7:37 p.m., Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the area of County Road 436 near New Bloomfield.  During the course of the investigation, deputies located Michael Hook, 45, of New Bloomfield, MO.  Hook was wanted reference multiple felony warrants issued in Cole and Camden counties.  Additionally, Hook was wanted by the Missouri Department of Corrections for parole violations.  Hook was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail where he remains in-custody.

On October 3, 2020, at approximately 2:55 a.m., Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the area of County Road 350 near Millersburg.  During the course of the investigation; methamphetamine, cocaine, and other controlled substances were located.  Shane Bertrand, 21, of Fulton, MO was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Bertrand was booked/processed Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Delivery of a Controlled Substance into a County Jail.  Bertrand was later released with summons for Court appearance.

On October 2, 2020, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the area of State Road AA near Holts Summit.  During the course of the investigation, deputies located three subjects who were wanted reference felony probation/parole warrants issued by the Missouri Department of Corrections (MDOC).  Ashley Chop, 34, of Fulton, MO; Colette Sapp, 36, of Fulton, MO; and April O’Hara, 35, of Fulton, MO were arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Chop and Sapp were later transferred to the custody of MDOC.  O’Hara remains in custody at the Callaway County Jail.

On October 1, 2020, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a follow-up investigation in Fulton (reference a theft investigation conducted in the Portland area).  During the course of the investigation; Tori Taylor, 25, of Silex, MO was arrested for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.  Taylor was transported to the Callaway County Jail and later released with summons for Court appearance.

On September 28, 2020, at approximately 7:39 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies were notified of a vehicle pursuit entering Callaway County from Boone County on eastbound Interstate 70.  The Columbia Police Department was pursuing a stolen vehicle.  As the pursuit reached the Kingdom City area, Callaway County deputies assumed primary position.  During the course of the pursuit, assisting Callaway County deputies successfully deployed tire deflation devices that the stolen vehicle struck.  Upon the stolen vehicle stopping near the State Road A/Z interchange east of Kingdom City; the driver, Jason Blanton, 45, of Kirksville was taken into custody.  Blanton remains in-custody at the Callaway County Jail for felony charges of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, Resisting Arrest, and Driving While Intoxicated.
