Deputies arrest four for felony drug / theft investigations across Callaway County

FELONY DRUG AND THEFT RELATED ARRESTS CONTINUE – FOUR ADDITIONAL ARRESTS ACROSS THE COUNTY

Arrested person information:

Andrew Corbin, 33, of Jefferson City, MO

Terry Benford, 52, of Sikeston, MO

Charles Fry, 60, of Holts Summit, MO

Ashley Braswell, 31, of Fulton, MO

Narrative: 

On September 8, 2020, at 9:19 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the area of County Road 4009 and State Road AA.  During the patrol, the deputy attempted to stop Andrew Corbin, 33, of Jefferson City, MO for a traffic violation.  Corbin fled from the deputy by vehicle and then on foot.  Several other deputies responded to the area.  At 1:46 PM, Corbin was spotted on foot near County Road 498 and State Road TT.  A Callaway County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit (K9 Krieger) spotted Corbin and he again fled on foot.  K9 Krieger tracked Corbin a considerable distance and located him hiding behind a residence.  Corbin was arrested and remains in-custody at the Callaway County Jail.  At the time of Corbin’s arrest, he was wanted reference numerous felony warrants in Callaway, Cole, and Miller counties.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Holts Summit Police Department assisted deputies.

On September 10, 2020, Terry Benford, 52, of Sikeston, MO was extradited by Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies from the Scott County Jail in southeast Missouri to the Callaway County Jail.  As the result of an ongoing Sheriff’s Office investigation in Callaway County regarding fraudulent checks being passed at numerous businesses, a felony Callaway County warrant for Forgery had been issued for Benford’s arrest.  Benford was subsequently located and arrested in Scott County.  Benford later posted bond at the Callaway County Jail and was released pending Court appearance.

On September 14, 2020, at 10:51 AM, the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office executed a drug related search warrant at a residence in the Winterwood Estates neighborhood near Holts Summit.  The search warrant had been obtained as the result of a Sheriff’s Office drug investigation.  Charles Fry, 60, of Holts Summit, MO was subsequently arrested for Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Use of a Firearm.  Fry was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he was booked/processed and later released with summons for Court appearance. The Holts Summit Police Department and the MUSTANG drug task force assisted with the investigation and warrant service.

On September 14, 2020, at 3:14 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the Fulton area.  During the course of the investigation, Ashley Braswell, 31, of Fulton, MO was arrested reference a Callaway County warrant for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Braswell was transported to the Callaway County Jail where she remains in-custody without bond, pending later Court bond review.
