Austin Creason, 24, of Centralia, MO
On January 16, 2020, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Austin Creason, 24, of Centralia, MO with the felony offenses of Burglary 2nd and Stealing. Creason is currently incarcerated in the Audrain County Jail, without bond, for local charges there. Creason was identified as a suspect during a joint investigation involving the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office, the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office, and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
In December, 2019, the aforementioned joint investigation was initiated as the result of numerous theft offenses occurring near the Callaway-Audrain-Boone county line in far northwest Callaway County, whereas, theft related (to include burglary and stolen vehicle) offenses occurred in all three counties. Deputies from all three agencies pursued leads and executed search warrants leading to the charges against Creason.
Further arrests/charges are possible as the joint investigation continues.
Sheriff Clay Chism points out, this joint-investigation is another great example of local Sheriffs and other law enforcement agencies working together to combat crime in their communities. Criminals don’t stop at city limits or county lines, nor should we!
