Deputies arrest 9 during proactive narcotics / stealing investigations

COUNTY ROAD PROACTIVE PATROLS AND INVESTIGATIONS CONTINUE TO NET FELONY ARRESTS

Brandon Veasman, 41, of Dixon, MO

John Nelson, 38, of Dixon, MO

Elizabeth McKinney, 24, of Fulton, MO

Travis Bealmear, 38, of Williamsburg, MO

Darron Rodgers, 30, of Fulton, MO

Floyd Murry, 20, of Centralia, MO

Narrative:                 

On April 5, 2021, at 3:38 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the area of County Road 269.  During the proactive patrol, the deputy came into contact with Jeremiah Foley, 33, of Columbia, MO.  Foley occupied a vehicle that had been reported stolen in the State of Kansas.  Subsequent investigation yielded a substantial recovery of drugs; including methamphetamine, marijuana, and cocaine.  Stolen firearms were also located.  Foley was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Foley with the felony offenses of Trafficking Drugs, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession (Felon in Possession) of a Firearm.  Foley remains in-custody without bond, pending later Court bond review and setting.

On April 5, 2021, at 3:40 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the area of County Road 259.  During the proactive patrol, the deputy came into contact with Frederick Thompson, 41, of Fulton, MO.  During the subsequent investigation, various felony level controlled substances were located.  Thompson was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and booked/processed for Delivery of a Controlled Substance.  Thompson later posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.

On April 6, 2021, at 3:08 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the area of Old Highway 40.  During the proactive patrol, the deputy came into contact with Eric Bang, 49, of Auxvasse, MO. Bang was wanted reference a felony Audrain County warrant for Criminal Non-Support.  Bang was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and released after bond post.

On April 8, 2021, at 9:23 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area of State Road AA reference a stolen vehicle offense.  As deputies were searching the area, a Callaway County deputy spotted the suspects near the US Highway 54/63/94 interchange in north Jefferson City.  The suspects traveled into Jefferson City and with the assistance of the Jefferson City Police Department, were stopped.  The suspects were identified as Brandon Veasman, 41, of Dixon, MO and John Nelson, 38, of Dixon, MO.  Both were arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and booked/processed for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st.  Both later posted bond and were released pending Court appearance.

On April 8, 2021, at 9:16 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the area of State Road Z. During the proactive patrol, the deputy came into contact with Elizabeth McKinney, 24, of Fulton, MO.  Subsequent investigation yielded the recovery of heroin.  McKinney was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and booked/processed for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  McKinney was later released with summons for Court appearance.

On April 8, 2021, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Travis Bealmear, 38, of Williamsburg, MO for the felony offense of Fail to Register as a Sex Offender.  The arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office as to the non-compliance with state sex offender laws.  Bealmer was booked/processed at the Callaway County Jail and later released with summons for Court appearance.

On April 10, 2021, at 12:11 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office was proactively patrolling the area of County Road 315.  During the proactive patrol, the deputy came into contact with Darron Rodgers, 30, of Fulton.  Subsequent investigation yielded the recovery of methamphetamine.  Rodgers was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and booked/processed for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Rodgers was later released with summons for Court appearance.

On April 10, 2021, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Floyd Murry with the felony offenses of Armed Criminal Action and Assault.  The charges are the result of an ongoing investigation in the Hams Prairie area being conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.  Murry was arrested by Callaway County deputies and remains in-custody at the Callaway County Jail pending bond post.
