Deputies arrest 3 in a significant drug operation in Kingdom City and arrest 13 others during various patrols and investigations

INVESTIGATION OF SIGNIFICANT DRUG DISTRIBUTION OPERATION IN KINGDOM CITY NETS THREE ARRESTS AND A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF DRUGS (reference images posted on May 7, 2021) 

On May 6, 2021, at 12:25 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted follow-up in Kingdom City regarding an ongoing, large scale drug distribution investigation.  During the course of the investigation, deputies stopped Jeremy Gascic, 30, of Mexico, MO near Gold Road.  A Callaway County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit responded to assist.  Numerous felony level controlled substances were located; including but not limited to: methamphetamine, crack cocaine, cocaine, Fentanyl, and marijuana.  Additionally, firearms were located.  Gascic was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail. The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Gascic with Felony Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Felony Unlawful Possession (felon in possession) of a Firearm, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.  Gascic remains in-custody at the Callaway County Jail without bond, pending later Court bond review and setting.

On May 6, 2021, at 2:02 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a drug search warrant at a business in the 3000 block of Gold Road in Kingdom City.  The search warrant had been obtained as the result of an ongoing, large scale drug distribution investigation.  Methamphetamine and Fentanyl were located.  Melvin McClain, 30, of Columbia, MO was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged McClain with Felony Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Additionally, at the time of McClain’s arrest, he was wanted by the Missouri Department of Corrections (MDOC) for felony parole violations.  McClain was later transferred to MDOC custody.

On May 6, 2021, at 2:03 PM (simultaneous to aforementioned search warrant), Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a second drug search warrant at a business in the 3000 block of Gold Road in Kingdom City.  The search warrant had been obtained as the result of an ongoing, large scale drug distribution investigation.  Crack cocaine, Fentanyl, and other felony level controlled substances were located.  Derrell Lewis, 33, of Fayette, MO was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Lewis with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Lewis later posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.

PROACTIVE PATROLS AND INVESTIGATIONS CONTINUE TO BE SUCCESSFUL

On April 27, 2021, at 6:38 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a drug search warrant at a Fulton area residence.  The search warrant had been obtained as the result of an ongoing Sheriff’s Office investigation.  Methamphetamine and other felony level controlled substances were located.  Joshua Byrd, 32, of Fulton, MO was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Byrd with two counts of Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Byrd later posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.  The Fulton Police Department and MUSTANG drug task force assisted with the investigation.

On April 27, 2021, at 7:19 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a disturbance in the 4000 block of State Road J.  During the course of the investigation, Tisha Johnson, 40, of Columbia, MO was arrested.  Subsequently, felony level controlled substances were located.  Johnson was transported to the Callaway County Jail.  The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Johnson with Felony Harassment and Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Johnson later posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.

On April 28, 2021, at 3:49 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a disturbance in the State Road HH area.  During the course of the investigation, deputies located Robert Goins, 46, of Fulton, MO.  Goins was wanted reference Audrain County warrants for Felony Aggravated Stalking.  Goins was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and later transferred to the custody of the Audrain County Jail.

On April 29, 2021, at 12:36 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the County Road 248 area.  During the course of the investigation, deputies located Christopher Robinson, 30, of Fulton, MO. Robinson was wanted reference a Missouri Department of Corrections (MDOC) felony warrant for probation violation.  Robinson was transported to the Callaway County Jail and later released, per MDOC, pending further Court action.

On May 2, 2021, at 8:10 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a disturbance in the County Road 304 area.  During the course of the investigation, deputies contacted Joshua Hendren, 31, of Fulton, MO.  Subsequently, felony level controlled substances were located.  Hendren was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and later released with summons pending Court appearance.

On May 3, 2021, at 1:28 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a disturbance in the area of County Road 226.  During the course of the investigation, deputies contacted Christopher Brown, 38, of Columbia.  Brown, whom was armed, was arrested for Unlawful Possession (felon in possession) of a Firearm.  Brown was transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed, and later released after posting bond.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted with the investigation.

On April 27, 2021, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a disturbance in the area of County Road 311.  The suspect, Christopher Whitlock, fled the scene.  On May 5, 2021, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit located Whitlock, on foot, near the State Road F – US Highway 54 interchange in Fulton.  Whitlock was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Whitlock with numerous felony offenses including Assault, Tampering, Child Kidnapping, and Kidnapping 2nd.  Whitlock remains in-custody at the Callaway County without bond, pending later Court bond review and setting.  The Fulton Police Department assisted with the investigation.

On May 5, 2021, at 1:43 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the area of County Road 132 and County Road 155.  During the course of the proactive patrol, the deputy located Daniel Nash, 48, of Williamsburg, MO.  Nash was wanted reference three Callaway County felony probation violation warrants.  Nash was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed, and remains in-custody pending bond post.

On May 6, 2021, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a commercial burglary offense in the 5000 block of Old Highway 40 in Kingdom City.  During the course of the investigation, deputies arrested Rickey Prewett, 39, of Auxvasse, MO.  Prewett was located during a separate suspicious activity investigation in the 1500 block of Old Highway 54 near Auxvasse. Prewett was transported to the Callaway County Jail and charged by the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney with Felony Burglary 2nd.  Prewett later posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.

On May 7, 2021, at 5:52 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the Fulton area.  During the course of the investigation, deputies located Ryan Smith, 37, of Holts Summit, MO.  Smith was wanted reference a Missouri Department of Corrections (MDOC) felony parole violation warrant.  Smith was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and later transferred to the custody of MDOC.

On May 8, 2021, at 1:54 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the Fulton area.  During the course of the proactive patrol, the deputy stopped Amanda Smith, 40, of Tiff, MO for a traffic violation.  A felony level controlled substance was subsequently located.  Smith was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, and later released with summons for Court appearance.

On May 8, 2021, at 1:19 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the New Bloomfield area.  During the course of the proactive patrol, the deputy came into contact with Kassandra Deierl, 31, of Fulton, MO.  Methamphetamine was recovered.  Deierl was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, and later released with summons for Court appearance.

On May 9, 2021, at 12:54 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a residential burglary offense in the Auxvasse area. During the course of the investigation, deputies located and arrested Kimberly Ennis, 32, of Fulton, MO.  Ennis was transported to the Callaway County Jail.  The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Ennis with the felony offenses of Burglary, Resisting Arrest, and Stealing.  Ennis remains in-custody at the Callaway County Jail pending bond post.
