Deputies arrest 17 for various felonies between May 25 and June 10

17 FELONY ARRESTS MADE ACROSS THE COUNTY AS THE RESULT OF PROACTIVE PATROLS AND INVESTIGATIONS

On May 25, 2021, at 6:40 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a disturbance with weapons in the County Road 262 area.  During the course of the investigation, Tyler Harris, 26, of Laddonia, MO was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Harris with Unlawful Use of a Weapon.  Harris later posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.

On May 28, 2021, at 6:36 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling State Road NN.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy stopped Ricky Coffelt, 53, of Fulton, MO for a traffic violation.  Methamphetamine was subsequently discovered.  Coffelt was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, and later released with summons for Court appearance.

On June 1, 2021, at 6:19 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a drug search warrant at a residence in the County Road 410 area.  The search warrant had been obtained as the result of an ongoing Sheriff’s Office drug investigation.  Subsequently, numerous felony level controlled substances were located.  Gladys Allen, 51, of Fulton, MO was arrested for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Allen was transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed, and later posted bond.

On June 2, 2021, at 4:37 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the County Road 211 area.  During the course of the investigation, deputies came into contact with Derek Cobb, 39, of Greensboro, North Carolina.  Cobb was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  Cobb was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, and later posted bond.

On June 2, 2021, at 1:48 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the Fulton area.  During the course of the investigation, deputies arrested Donald Hiatte, 76, of Fulton, MO reference a Callaway County felony warrant for Fail to Register as a Sex Offender.  Hiatte was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he remains in-custody pending bond post.

On June 4, 2021, at 6:46 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies, assisted by the Fulton Police Department and MUSTANG drug task force, executed a Callaway County drug search warrant at a residence on County Road 427.  The search warrant had been obtained as the result of ongoing Sheriff’s Office drug investigation.  Several felony level controlled substances, including Fentanyl, and firearms were located.  William Cody Smith, 38, of Mokane, MO and William Lee Smith, 63, of Mokane, MO were arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged William Cody Smith with Felony Delivery of a Controlled Substance and he remains in-custody without bond, pending Court bond review.  The Prosecuting Attorney charged William Lee Smith with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon.  He remains in-custody pending bond post.

On June 5, 2021, at 1:43 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the State Road BB area.  During the patrol, the deputy stopped Kareem Phillips-Bey, 29, of Lebanon, MO for a traffic violation.  Subsequently, felony level controlled substances and a firearm were located.  Phillips-Bey was arrested for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (felon in possession), and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.  Phillips-Bey was transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed, and later posted bond.

On June 6, 2021, at 9:41 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the State Road J area in Millersburg. During the course of the patrol, the deputy came into contact with Joseph Andrews, 43, of Columbia, MO.  It was determined that Andrews was wanted reference a Boone County warrant for Felony Tampering.  Andrews was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed, and later posted bond.

On June 6, 2021, at 9:16 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling Old Highway 54 near New Bloomfield.  During the patrol, the deputy stopped Michael Carver, 45, of Jefferson City, MO for a traffic violation.  It was determined that Carver was wanted by the Missouri Department of Corrections (MDOC) reference a felony parole violation warrant.  Carver was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and later transferred to the custody of MDOC.

On June 7, 2021, at 11:07 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling County Road 334.  During the patrol, the deputy stopped a vehicle reference a traffic violation.  A vehicle passenger later identified as Katherine Jenkins, 30, of Columbia, MO attempted to provide a false name and then fled on foot.  After a brief chase, Jenkins was taken into custody.  It was determined Jenkins was wanted reference Cooper County and MDOC felony warrants (Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Probation Violations).  Jenkins was transported to the Callaway County Jail and later transferred to the Cooper County Jail.

On June 7, 2021, at 6:24 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the area of County Road 155. During the course of the investigation, deputies located Travis Bealmear, 38, of Williamsburg, MO.  Bealmear was wanted reference a Callaway County felony warrant for Fail to Register as a Sex Offender. Bealmear was transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed, and later posted bond.

On June 8, 2021, at 12:08 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the area of County Road 367.  During the course of the investigation, deputies located Gregory Vincent, 37, of Rolla, MO.  Vincent was wanted reference a Cole County warrant for Felony Delivery of a Controlled Substance.  Vincent was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and later transferred to the Cole County Jail.

On June 9, 2021, at 10:31 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the New Bloomfield area. During the course of the investigation, deputies arrested David Bulson, 49, of New Bloomfield, MO reference a Callaway County felony warrant for Fail to Register as a Sex Offender.  Bulson was transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed, and later posted bond.

On June 10, 2021, at 8:35 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the area of County Road 311.  During the course of the investigation, deputies arrested Chuck Peters, 42, for Felony Stealing a Motor Vehicle.  Peters was transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed, and later released with summons for Court appearance.

On June 10, 2021, at 11:52 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the area of County Road 340.  During the course of the investigation, deputies arrested Jason Mushrush, 32, of Fulton, MO reference a Callaway County warrant for Felony Tampering with a Motor Vehicle.  Mushrush was transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed, and later posted bond.

On June 10, 2021, at 5:24 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers investigated in a disturbance in the area of State Road WW.  During the course of the investigation, a stolen vehicle was recovered (reference an earlier investigation conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office and Auxvasse Police Department).  Michael Crum, 24, of Auxvasse, MO was arrested for the felony offenses of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st, Property Damage 1st, and Assault.  Crum was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he remains in-custody.
