Deputies arrest 11 for an array of felony offenses between July 28 and August 2

CCSO REPORTS 11 FELONY ARRESTS FOR AN ARRAY OF OFFENSES OVER THE PAST WEEK

Narrative:

On August 2, 2020, at approximately 5:24 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a criminal investigation in the area of County Road 381 and County Road 382.  During the course of the investigation, a vehicle was located that had been reported as stolen to the Eldon Police Department.  Subsequently, Shara Chambers, 40, of Jefferson City, MO was arrested for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st, in addition to a Jefferson City warrant.  Chambers was transported to the Callaway County Jail where she later posted bond and was released.

On August 2, 2020, at approximately 9:54 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a criminal investigation in the 11000 block of County Road 4012 near Holts Summit regarding a weapons offense. During the course of the investigation, a state trooper and deputies located Matthew Evans, 28, of Eugene, MO nearby in the 2900 block of State Road AA. Evans was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (felon in possession) and Trespassing 1st.  Evans was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he later posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted with the investigation.

On August 1, 2020, at approximately 10:51 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Douglas Lee, 41, of Hallsville, MO on State Road J near Interstate 70.  Lee did not stop and fled from deputies north onto County Road 269.  During the pursuit, Lee threw a firearm from the vehicle before he ultimately stopped and was arrested.  Deputies located the firearm and determined it was stolen from Audrain County.  Lee was arrested for charges of Felony Resisting Arrest, Felony Stealing a Firearm, Tampering with Evidence in a Felony Investigation, Felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Driving While Revoked, Exceeding the Posted Speed Limit and Failed to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle.  Lee was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he is being held without bond, per Judge’s order.  At the time of his arrest, Lee was under the supervision of the Missouri Department of Corrections – Board of Probation and Parole.

On August 1, 2020, at approximately 10:31 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling State Road AA near County Road 499.  During the proactive patrol, the deputy stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation.  During the traffic stop investigation, a felony level controlled substance was located.  A 16 year old juvenile from Holts Summit was detained for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  The Callaway County Juvenile Office ordered the juvenile be released to his parent, which the deputy did.

On August 1, 2020, at approximately 3:06 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was on proactive patrol when he observed Devin Albers-Hook, 19, of Fulton, MO in the 800 block of West 7th Street near Fulton.  Albers-Hook was wanted reference a Callaway County Felony Probation Violation warrant.  Additionally, Albers-Hook was being sought for Stealing a Firearm regarding an ongoing Sheriff’s Office investigation.  Albers-Hook was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail where he is being held on $40,000 bond.

On August 1, 2020, at approximately 2:00 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling State Road A near County Road 181.  During the proactive patrol, the deputy stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation.  Subsequently, Deric Farley, 36, of Portland, MO was arrested for Felony Driving While Revoked.  Farley was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he later posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.

On July 31, 2020, at approximately 9:11 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the Auxvasse area regarding a disturbance involving weapons.  Upon the arrival of deputies, they encountered Vincent Wagner, 35, of Fulton, MO whom was brandishing a large knife.  Wagner was subsequently taken into custody without further incident.  Wagner was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he later charged by the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney with Felony Domestic Assault 2nd.  Wagner remains in-custody pending $15,000 bond.

On July 31, 2020, at approximately 6:47 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies, in conjunction with the Holts Summit Police Department, conducted a criminal investigation in the 100 block of Northstar Street in Holts Summit.  During the course of the investigation, a felony level controlled substance was located.  Zane Wohlers, 18, of Fulton, MO was arrested for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Wohlers was transported to the Callaway County Jail and later released with summons for Court appearance.

On July 29, 2020, at approximately 5:58 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a criminal investigation in the 700 block of Hickman Avenue in Fulton.  During the course of the investigation, deputies arrested Brandon Byrd, 36, of Fulton, MO for Felony Violation of a Protection Order.  Byrd was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he later posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.  During the same investigation; Victoria Loyd, 22, of Fulton, MO was arrested for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st (original offense occurred near Steedman).  Loyd was transported to the Callaway County Jail and later released with summons for Court appearance.

On July 28, 2020, at approximately 1:51 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the 5000 block of Jade Road in Kingdom City.  During the course of the investigation, deputies located Jordan Vaughn, 41, of Thompson, MO hiding in a bathroom.  Vaughn was wanted reference several warrants, to include a felony probation violation warrant issued by the Missouri Department of Corrections.  Vaughn was transported to the Callaway County Jail where she remains in custody without bond, pending Court bond setting.
