SHERIFF’S K9 UNIT CAPTURES FULTON MAN WANTED FOR FELONY BURGLARY/STEALING OFFENSES NEAR MILLERSBURG AND HOLTS SUMMIT – STOLEN TRAILER FROM HOLTS SUMMIT BUSINESS RECOVERED

Kevin Jones, 33, of Fulton, MO
On January 16, 2020, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Kevin Jones, 33, of Fulton with the felony offenses of Burglary, Stealing, and Property Damage. Jones is being held without bond, per Court order, in the Callaway County Jail pending further Court bond review.
The aforementioned charges are the result of criminal investigations conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office and the Holts Summit Police Department at offense locations including the 2000 block of State Road F east of Millersburg, Hickory Lane in Holts Summit, and County Road 4006 near Holts Summit.
Jones was apprehended after fleeing Callaway County deputies and Holts Summit officers at a residence on County Road 4006 during the evening hours of January 15, 2020. A Callaway County deputy spotted a stolen trailer (stolen from a business in Holts Summit) concealed near a County Road 4006 residence. Upon deputies and officers converging on the residence, Jones fled on foot. Callaway County Sheriff’s Office K9 Iro responded and successfully tracked for approximately ¼ mile to where Jones was hiding in the darkness. Upon Jones seeing K9 Iro nearing his hideout, Jones peacefully surrendered.
Jones was also charged by the Prosecuting Attorney for his involvement in a burglary and theft offense investigated by Callaway County deputies in the 2000 block of State Road F in October, 2019.
At the time of Jones’ arrest, he was under the supervision of the Missouri Department of Corrections – Board of Probation and Parole.
