Williamsburg man arrested after deputies investigate residential burglary

Narrative: 

On January 27, 2018 at 4:01 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers responded to the 8000 block of Old Highway 40 in northeast Callaway County for a report of a residential burglary in progress.  The owner reported arriving to their residence to find a male subject actively stealing items.

Upon the arrival of Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers, David C. Atterberry and a juvenile were taken into custody.  Stolen property was recovered in a vehicle that had been driven to the scene.

Atterberry was released to the Callaway County Jail where he is being without bond, pending a court bond setting for felony charges of Burglary 2nd and Stealing.  The juvenile was transported to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office where they were then referred to Callaway County juvenile authorities.
