Williamsburg fugitive arrested after stolen vehicle and drug related charges

WILLIAMSBURG MAN ARRESTED FOR STOLEN VEHICLE AND DRUG RELATED OFFENSES

Arrested person information:

Mason Bell, 27, of Williamsburg, MO

Narrative: 

On June 6, 2020, at approximately 6:28 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling the area of State Road D and Old Highway 40 near Williamsburg.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy spotted a vehicle known to be associated with Mason Bell, 27, of Williamsburg, MO.  Upon the deputy stopping the vehicle on State Road D near State Road AB, Bell was taken into custody.

Bell was a wanted fugitive; reference a Callaway County felony arrest warrant for charges including Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st, Escape from Custody, Stealing-Controlled Substance, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.  Bell had been charged with the aforementioned offenses by the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney on June 3, 2020 as the result of Sheriff’s Office investigations in the New Bloomfield area along Old Highway 54 and County Road 452, during which Bell fled from deputies.

Bell was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he is being held without bond pending later Court bond review and setting.
