Two wanted fugitives arrested on separate felony warrants

ARREST OF WANTED FELONS FROM AUDRAIN COUNTY

On September 24, 2017 at 11:03 p.m., Callaway County Sheriff’s Office arrested Harold Smith, 53, of Williamsburg at a residence on CR 135 in northeast Callaway County.  Deputies had gathered information that Smith was present inside a residence and responded accordingly.  Upon conducting a residential search, Smith was located and taken into custody without incident.  Smith was wanted in Audrain County for a FELONY warrant – violation of a court protection order.  Smith was also wanted on a Callaway County misdemeanor warrant for Domestic Assault 4th.  Smith was transferred to the Callaway County Jail and remains in custody on a bond of $11,000, $10,000 of which is cash only.

On September 25, 2017 at 2:41 a.m., a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Fitch, 36, of Auxvasse.  Fitch was located in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation on North Business 54 in Fulton.  Upon contacting Fitch, it was determined he was wanted in Audrain County for a FELONY warrant – felony stealing and forgery.  Fitch was also wanted on a Callaway County misdemeanor warrant for narcotics possession.  Fitch was transferred to the Callaway County Jail and remains n custody on a bond of $25,400.
