Two Jefferson City men arrested for burglary, stealing

On June 29, 2017, the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office investigated a residential burglary offense on County Road 349 near New Bloomfield.  Earlier in the day, before the burglary offense had been discovered and reported, the Jefferson City Police Department had arrested Paul Kremer and Joshua Steen after a vehicle pursuit there.  At the time of Kremer and Steen’s arrest, stolen property from the County Road 349 offense scene was located.   Upon the Callaway County victim being contacted by the Jefferson City Police Department, the burglary offense was discovered and a report was made to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.

On June 30, 2017, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office investigators took custody of Kremer and Steen at the Cole County Jail in Jefferson City.  Both were transported to the Callaway County Jail where they remain on a bond of $9,000.  Both were booked / processed for Burglary and Stealing.

The Jefferson City Police Department continues to assist in the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges could be forthcoming.  NO FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE RELEASED AT THIS TIME.
