Two Holts Summit men arrested for Drug Trafficking and Narcotics Possession

Kurt Catron, 31, of Holts Summit

Narrative:

On May 25, 2017 at approximately 6:24 p.m., Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped a silver SUV in the area of State Road AA and Doolittle Drive near Holts Summit for a traffic offense.  The vehicle driver was identified as Allen Burnett and the vehicle passenger was identified as Kurt Catron.

During a search of Catron, he was found to be in possession of a firearm, marijuana and methamphetamine.

During a search of the vehicle, a large amount of suspected methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia was recovered.

Burnett was taken into custody for charges of Felony Drug Trafficking 2nd, Driving While Revoked, Unlawful use of Drug Paraphernalia, and No Vehicle Insurance.

Catron was taken into custody for charges of Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

Both Burnett and Catron were transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Burnett posted a $7,300.00 bond and was released pending court appearance.  Catron is currently in custody pending with a $9,500.00 bond.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges could be forthcoming.  NO FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE RELEASED AT THIS TIME.
