Texas man arrested for felony theft and witness tampering after deputies investigate commercial burglary

DEPUTIES ARREST TEXAS MAN FOR FELONY STEALING AND WITNESS TAMPERING

Kevin Vu, 52, of Houston, TX

Narrative:

On August 10, 2018, at 10:02 p.m., Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported stealing in progress offense at AZZ Electric, a commercial business, at 7900 Old Highway 54 south of Fulton.  A citizen reported driving by and seeing a suspicious male inside the fenced-in restricted area of the business.  The citizen subsequently stopped and confronted the subject.

Deputies arrived within minutes and took the male; Kevin Vu, of Texas, into custody.  Deputies subsequently recovered a large amount of items stolen from the business.

Vu was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he is being held on a court-set bond of $9,125.00 for probable cause offenses of Felony Stealing, Tampering with a Witness in a Felony Prosecution, and Trespassing 1st.  Vu is further being held on an unrelated Callaway County failure to appear – traffic warrant.
