Sheriff’s Office weekly roundup results in nine felony arrests charges ranging from Burglary, Drugs and Sex offenses

SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATIONS OF BURGLARY, DRUG, AND SEX OFFENSES RESULT IN NINE (9) FELONY ARRESTS DURING THE PAST WEEK

Daniel Nash, 47, of Fulton, MO

Anthony Jenkins, 27, of Kingdom City, MO

Brian Stevens, 44, of Kingdom City, MO

Destiny Werdehausen, 37, of Holts Summit

Lorraine Atkins, 25, of Jefferson City, MO

Titus Brice, 41, of Kingdom City, MO

Eric Cooley, 41, of Millersburg, MO

Jess Murrell, 26, of Fulton, MO

Zachary Helmich, 32, of Brookfield, MO

Narrative: 

On May 16, 2020, at 12:24 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies, assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, conducted an investigation in the 6000 block of State Road NN near Fulton.  During the course of the investigation, deputies came into contact with Daniel Nash, 47, of Fulton, MO.  A felony controlled substance was subsequently located.  Nash was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Nash was booked/processed for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance in addition to drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest offenses.  Nash later posted a court-set bond and was released.

On May 15, 2020, at 10:03 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a residential burglary investigation in the 3000 block of County Road 210 near Kingdom City.  During the course of the investigation, deputies identified the suspect as Anthoney Jenkins, 27, of Kingdom City.  On May 16, 2020, Callaway County deputies located Jenkins at a residence near Hatton and took him into custody without incident.  Jenkins was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Jenkins with the felony offenses of Burglary and Assault.  Jenkins is being held without bond, pending later Court bond review.

On May 15, 2020, at 8:23 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation on East Harrison Street in Auxvasse.  During the course of the investigation, the deputy came into contact with Brian Stevens, 44, of Kingdom City, MO.  As the investigation continued, a felony controlled substance was located.  Stevens was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Steven was later released with summons to appear in Court.

On May 14, 2020, at 7:22 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a follow-up investigation in the area of LaChar Drive near Holts Summit.  During the course of the investigation, the deputy located Destiny Werdehausen, 37, of Holts Summit.  Werdehausen was wanted reference a Callaway County felony warrant for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st (probation violation).  Werdehausen was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail where she remains in-custody pending bond posting.

On May 13, 2020, at 4:55 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling Old Highway 40 near Kingdom City.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy stopped a vehicle reference an ongoing criminal investigation.  During the course of the traffic stop investigation, Sheriff’s Office K9 Krieger responded to assist.  Deputies subsequently arrested Lorraine Atkins, 25, of Jefferson City, MO for felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth) and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Atkins was later released with summons for Court appearance.

On May 13, 2020, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies followed-up on a criminal investigation in the Hatton area concerning the recovery of a stolen vehicle.  As the result of the investigation; Titus Brice, 41, of Kingdom City, MO was arrested for felony Receiving Stolen Property.  Bruce was later released with summons for Court appearance.

On May 13, 2020, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy followed-up on a criminal investigation in the Millersburg area concerning a sex offender registration violation.  As the result of the investigation; Eric Cooley, 41, of Fulton, MO was arrested for two felony counts of Fail to Register as a Sex Offender.  Cooley was booked/processed at the Callaway County Jail and later released after posting a court-set bond.

On May 12, 2020, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies followed-up on a criminal investigation in the Steedman area concerning the recovery of a stolen vehicle.  As the result of the investigation; Jess Murrell, 26, of Fulton, MO was arrested for felony Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st.  Murrell was booked/processed at the Callaway County Jail and later released after posting a court-set bond.

On May 11, 2020, at 10:25 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling State Road DD near the Audrain County line.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy stopped Zachary Helmich, 32, of Brookfield, MO for a traffic violation.  During the course of the traffic stop investigation, methamphetamine related drug paraphernalia was located.  It was also determined that Helmich was a wanted fugitive in Randolph County, MO for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Helmich was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Helmich later posted a court-set bond and was released.
