Sheriff’s Office investigation in Kingdom City leads to methamphetamine distribution arrest in Fulton

SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATION IN KINGDOM CITY LEADS TO DEPUTIES MAKING METHAMPHETAMINE DISTRIBUTION ARREST IN FULTON

Arrested person information:

Branden Akers, 33, of Mokane

Narrative:

On October 7, 2018 at 10:55 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a suspicious activity report near the US Highway 54 – Interstate 70 interchange in Kingdom City.  Prior to deputy arrival in Kingdom City, the suspect vehicle had departed.  Callaway County deputies subsequently located the suspect vehicle in the 1700 block of North Bluff Street in Fulton at 11:10 PM and conducted an investigative stop.

During the course of the investigation, a vehicle passenger was identified as Branden Akers, 33, of Mokane.  Akers was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and other drug related items.  Akers was subsequently transported to the Sheriff’s Office for Felony Delivery of a Controlled Substance.  Akers later posted bond and was released pending court appearance.
