DETAILS OF INCIDENT:
On January 23rd, 2013 at approximately 10:00 PM, Callaway County Sheriff Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at 8781 Old Highway 54 outside of New Bloomfield. While responding, information was received that Mark Stanley was at the residence and was in possession of a stolen vehicle. Moments prior to the arrival of deputies, Stanley fled the area on foot. A search for Stanley was conducted however he was not located. It was determined that a blue Dodge Caliber that was stolen earlier in the day from Boonville, Missouri was on the property. While speaking with occupants of the residence it was reported that Stanley allegedly assaulted two people, including the reporting party, before fleeing on foot. The vehicle was recovered and transported to the Callaway County Sheriff Office for evidence processing.
At approximately midnight, the occupants reported that Stanley returned and allegedly kicked a pregnant woman in the stomach, assaulted a 13 year old juvenile, and fled the area on foot again. Deputies responded and searched for Stanley but were unable to locate him.
Over the next several days, deputies returned to look for Stanley, but he was not located. On January 28th, 2013 deputies responded back to the residence where Stanley allegedly fled the area on foot again and was not located. More attempts to locate Stanley were completed the next day but he was not located.
On February 4th, 2013 information was received of the location of Stanley. Stanley was taken into custody without incident and charged with Tampering 1st, Domestic Assault 3rd, Domestic Assault 3rd, Domestic Assault 2nd and Assault 3rd.
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty
