NUMEROUS FELONY CHARGES FILED AFTER SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATION OF BURGLARY, THEFT, DRUG, AND STOLEN VEHICLE OFFENSES NEAR FULTON AND MOKANE

On December 29, 2018, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Kristian Chudeg, 31, of Mokane with the felony offenses of Burglary (two counts), Stealing (three counts), Forgery, and Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts). Chudej was further charged with misdemeanor offenses of Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer. Chudej was arrested by Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies on December 28, 2018 near Mokane and is being held in the Callaway County Jail on a *court set* bond of $36,000.00.
On December 28, 2018, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Jason Pattillo, 43, of Columbia with the felony offense of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, in addition to a misdemeanor stealing offense. Pattillo was arrested by Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies, with the assistance of Fulton Police Department officers, in Fulton on December 27, 2018. At the time of Pattillo’s arrest, he was also wanted reference a Boone County felony warrant for Stealing. Pattillo is being held in the Callaway County Jail on a *court set* bond of $25,000.00.
The following charges are the result of Callaway County Sheriff’s Office investigations conducted in the 7000 block of State Road O east of Fulton and the 5000 block of River Hills Road near Mokane. During the extensive investigation, deputies executed two Callaway County search warrants near Mokane where methamphetamine, stolen property, and other controlled substances were located. During the search warrant execution, stolen property from a business in Fulton was also located. With the assistance of the Fulton Police Department, a stolen vehicle related to these investigations was located in Fulton.
During the Mokane area portion of the investigation, a third person, Joseph Lovell, 35, of Mexico was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – prior offender. Lovell was taken to the Callaway County Jail and later released on a court summons for appearance.
These investigations are ongoing and further arrests/charges are possible.
