New Florence man arrested for tampering with motor vehicle, resisting arrest after deputies locate a stolen vehicle in Kingdom City

On June 28, 2017, at 4:23 p.m., a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling the Kingdom City area.  During the patrol, the deputy observed an occupied suspicious vehicle parked behind a local business.  Upon the deputy conducting a registration check of the vehicle, it was determined the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Moberly, MO.

The deputy approached the vehicle and subsequently made contact with the driver, Michael Fox of New Florence, MO.  As the deputy attempted to take Fox into custody, he resisted arrest.  The deputy was able to take quickly take control of Fox.

After further investigation, Fox was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he remains in-custody on $4,500.00 bond.  Fox is being held for probable cause offenses of Felony Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st and Felony Resisting Arrest.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted with the scene investigation.
