Jefferson City man arrested for trespassing, resisting arrest

Narrative: 

On September 23, 2017, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged David Latham, 42, of Jefferson City with Resisting Arrest and Trespassing 1st.  Latham remains in custody at the Callaway County Jail on a court-set bond of $10,000.00.

The charges are the result of a joint follow-up investigation conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office and the Holts Summit Police Department.

On September 22, 2017, the Holts Summit Police Department initially investigated a trespassing offense, involving Latham, which occurred inside of Holts Summit.  As a result of that initial investigation, Holts Summit officers and Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies later searched a residence for Latham in the 2500 block of Jazel Lane, located north of Holts Summit, in Callaway County.  During the residential search, Latham was found hiding in the residence.  Upon officers and deputies attempting to take Latham into custody, he physically resisted arrest and was ultimately subdued by law enforcement agents.
