Jefferson City man arrested for Felony Domestic Assault, Felony Kidnapping and Violation of a Order of Protection

Thaddeus Phelps, 21, of Jefferson City

Narrative: 

On September 6, 2017, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Thaddeus Phelps, 21, of Jefferson City with Felony Domestic Assault 3rd, Felony Kidnapping 2nd, and Violation of a Protection Order.  Phelps is being held in the Callaway County Jail on NO BOND, per judge’s ruling.

The charges are the result of a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office investigation conducted on September 5, 2017.  On that date, at 11:08 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in progress in the 2000 block of Milanda Lake Road near New Bloomfield.  Upon the arrival of deputies, contact was made with the victim whom was injured.  Phelps had fled the scene prior to the arrival of deputies and was not immediately located.

Deputies continued follow-up on September 6, 2017 and subsequently located Phelps at another location in Jefferson City at 3:57 p.m.  Phelps was then arrested without incident and taken to the Callaway County Jail.
