Investigation near Holts Summit leads to felony stealing and methamphetamine arrest

On December 26, 2019, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Steven Stotts, 37, of Fulton, MO with the felony offense of Stealing.  The charge is the result of an investigation conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office concerning a stealing offense at a commercial property along Old Highway 54 north of Holts Summit.  Stotts was arrested in Jefferson City, MO on December 25, 2019 and transferred to the Callaway County Jail.  Stotts is being held on $10,000 bond for the stealing offense.  At the time of arrest, Stotts was also wanted reference a Callaway County felony warrant for Stalking, which charge carries an additional $5,000 bond.

At the time of Stotts’ arrest, he was under the supervision of the Missouri Department of Corrections – Board of Probation and Parole for offenses including Burglary and Theft.

 

On December 26, 2019, at approximately 1:11 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted an investigation in the 2000 block of County Road 382 near Holts Summit.  During the course of the investigation, the deputy came into contact with William Saffeels, 45, of Holts Summit.  Saffeels was subsequently arrested for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth).  Saffeels was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he was booked/processed and later released with a summons to appear in Court.
