Holts Summit man charged with sex crimes after child sexual assault investigation

CCSO AND HSPD CHILD SEXUAL INVESTIGATION LEADS TO FELONY PROSECUTION

Michael Maute, 22, of Holts Summit

Narrative:

The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney has charged Michael Maute, 22, of Holts Summit with the criminal offenses of FELONY Statutory Sodomy 2nd and Furnishing Pornographic Material to a Minor. The charges are the result of a joint investigation involving child sexual abuse conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office and the Holts Summit Police Department, initiated on January 5, 2018 at a residence near Holts Summit.

Maute remains in the custody of the Callaway County Jail for the afore mentioned offenses, in addition to a felony Cole County warrant for probation violation. Maute is being held without bond, as set forth by the Cole County warrant.
