Arrested: Christopher Russell, 21, of Fulton
On October 15, 2015, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Christopher Russell, 21, of Fulton for nine (9) counts of Possession of Child Pornography – 2nd offense. Russell is currently being held at the Callaway County Jail without bond, per the arrest warrant.
The related investigation began on September 6, 2015 when deputies learned that Russell possessed a mobile device that likely possessed child pornography. At the time, Russell was residing in the 1300 block of State Road O in Callaway County. Days later, a second device was also recovered.
The devices were subsequently examined by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office – Cyber Crimes unit and it was confirmed child pornography was present.
Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney Chris Wilson subsequently filed the charges which led to Russell’s arrest on October 15, 2015.
On February 23, 2015, Russell was convicted of Possession of Child Pornography in Callaway County Circuit Court, which case was investigated by the Fulton Police Department. Russell was placed on supervised probation through the MO Board of Probation and Parole and remained on probation at the time of the new offenses leading to his most recent arrest.
The investigation is ongoing and further charges could be forthcoming.
