Fulton man arrested for Burglary, felony stealing and felony property damage

Nathaniel Chiles, 23, of Fulton

Narrative: 

On September 25, 2017, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Nathaniel Chiles, 23, of Fulton with Burglary 2nd (Felony), Stealing over $750 (Felony), and two counts of Property Damage 1st (Felony).  Chiles remains in the Callaway County Jail on a court-set bond of $15,000.00.

These charges are the result of a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office investigation regarding a commercial burglary on September 24, 2017.  During the investigation, Chiles was developed as a suspect and stolen property from the burglary was later recovered.

As deputies attempted to arrest Chiles at his residence in Fulton, he fled out the rear of the his residence into a nearby creek.  The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office K-9 tracked Chiles for over 3/4 of a mile where he was located (successfully tracked by K-9) and taken into custody by deputies.

The Fulton Police Department assisted with the apprehension of Chiles.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges could be forthcoming.  NO FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE RELEASED AT THIS TIME.
