Fulton man arrested for 8 counts of assault and possession of a controlled substance

Narrative: 

On June 4, 2017, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Timothy Stewart, 41, of Fulton with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and eight (8) counts of Assault 4th.  Stewart remains incarcerated in the Callaway County Jail on a bond of $8,000.

On June 3, 2017 at 11:02 p.m., Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance involving a reported firearm in the 5000 block of County Road 123 northeast of Fulton.  Upon arrival, eight (8) victims reported that Timothy Stewart drove by their residence displaying what appeared to be a pistol, in a threatening manner, at them.  As deputies arrived, there was an active disturbance at the residence with the home owner holding Stewart, who had returned, at gun point.  Stewart was taken into custody.

During the investigation, it was learned that Stewart had displayed a BB pistol in a threatening manner, not a firearm.  Deputies recovered two BB pistols along with, suspected methamphetamine.

Stewart was uncooperative and taken to the Callaway County Jail where he was charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and eight (8) counts of Assault 4th.
