HALLOWEEN COUNTY ROAD PROACTIVE PATROL, ASSISTED BY K9 IRO, RESULTS IN FELONY NARCOTICS AND CHILD ABUSE ARREST

Arrested person information:

Jennifer Johnson, 37, of Fulton

Narrative:

On October 31, 2018, at approximately 9:19 p.m., a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the area of County Road 223 northwest of Fulton.

During the proactive patrol, the deputy spotted a vehicle he knew was associated with Jennifer Johnson, 37, of Fulton.   Johnson was being sought regarding a Callaway County Grand Jury Indictment for Felony Abuse of a Child.  That indictment was the result of a criminal investigation conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office near Fulton; assisted by the State of Missouri Children’s Division.

The deputy subsequently stopped Johnson on County Road 223 and attempted to take her into custody, during which she refused to exit the vehicle.  Johnson was forcibly removed and taken into custody.

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit responded to assist.  K9 Iro alerted on Johnson’s vehicle and a subsequent search netted felony controlled substances within the vehicle.

Johnson was transported to the Callaway County Jail and booked/processed for Felony Abuse of a Child (Grand Jury Indictment), Felony Resisting Arrest, and Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Johnson is being held on a *court set* bond of $10,500.00.
