Felony DWI suspect runs from arresting deputy

On June 27, 2017 at approximately 10:17 p.m., a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a black SUV on State Road AA outside of Holts Summit for a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, the deputy made contact with the driver, identified as William Oldendorf of Holts Summit.  The deputy conducted a series of field sobriety tests on Oldendorf due to suspicion of DWI.  As the deputy furthered his interaction and investigation, Oldendorf fled on foot and a foot pursuit entailed.   The deputy was able to capture Oldendorf and took him into custody.  The deputy later determined that Oldendorf had two prior arrests for DWI, making this DWI arrest a felony under Missouri state law.

Oldendorf was transported to the Callaway County Jail for charges of DWI – Persistent Offender (Felony), Resisting Arrest for a Felony, Driving While Revoked 2nd Offense and Failed to Drive on Right Half of Roadway.  Oldendorf later posted a bond of $3,500 and was released from the Jail.
