Deputies plan to participate in the 2019 Polar Plunge

Several patrol deputies with the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office have again joined forces with the Special Olympics (Missouri) to support those in our local community with intellectual disabilities.  As part of our staff’s commitment to supporting this cause, several off-duty deputies will be participating in this year’s Polar Plunge, to be held in Columbia on March 9, 2019 at the Bass Pro Shop. Law enforcement officers from across the state and the Special Olympics have a long standing relationship and we are proud to continue that tradition locally in Callaway County.  Each deputy has a fund-raising link through the Special Olympic’s official website (links are attached).  The deputy whom raises the most funds will be wearing a special costume as they make the plunge into the frigid waters this weekend!

Thank you to Deputy Carey, Deputy LeBel, Deputy Nielsen, Sgt. Dame and Lt. Hall for their participation in this wonderful opportunity.
