Deputies make two felony arrests after patrols of County Road 334 outside of Fulton

DEPUTIES MAKE TWO FELONY ARRESTS DURING PATROL OF COUNTY ROADS 323 AND 334 NEAR MILLERSBURG

Arrested person information:

Michael Smith, 26, of Auxvasse

Brooke Bealmear, 31, of Mexico

Narrative:

On October 3, 2018 at 6:52 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies were conducting investigative patrols in the area of County Road 323 and County Road 334 near Millersburg.  During the patrol, deputies came into contact with Michael Smith, 26, of Auxvasse and Brooke Bealmear, 31, of Mexico.

During the initial contact with Smith and Bealmear, both provided deputies with false information concerning the identity of Smith.  Ultimately, it was determined that Smith was a wanted fugitive – Callaway County warrant for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Jefferson City municipal warrant for Stealing.  Both were arrested.

Smith was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he remains in a *court set* bond of $5,240.00 for the aforementioned warrants.

Bealmear was transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed for Hindering Prosecuting for a Felony, and later released after posting a *court set* bond of $1,500.00.

NO FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE RELEASED AT THIS TIME.
