DEPUTIES MAKE DRUG RELATED AND FELONY WARRANT ARRESTS DURING PROACTIVE PATROLS

On January 13, 2020, at approximately 3:30 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling County Road 338 near New Bloomfield. During the proactive patrol, the deputy attempted to stop William Kirk, 44, of New Bloomfield for a traffic related offense. Kirk subsequently fled from the deputy and a brief pursuit ensued. The deputy subsequently captured Kirk and arrested him. Kirk was found to be in possession of meth related drug paraphernalia. Kirk was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he was booked/processed for Resisting Arrest, Fail to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tampering with Physical Evidence and other traffic related offenses. Kirk later posted a $3,000 bond and was released.
On January 13, 2020, at 3:03 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was traveling through Fulton. The deputy conducted an investigative stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Tucker Lane and Nichols Street. During the stop, the driver was identified as Jeffrey Manion, 48, of Fulton. Manion was wanted reference three (3) Callaway County felony warrants for Probation Violation – felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Manion was arrested and found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Manion was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he is being held on $30,000 cash bond.
