Deputies make additional felony arrests for Drugs, Theft, Weapon and Child Sex offenses

Narrative:  

On January 8, 2021, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Jason Leesmann, 43, of Villa Ridge, MO for the felony offense of Child Molestation 4th.  The charge is the result of an investigation conducted by deputies in the Holts Summit area.  Leesmann was arrested in Franklin County, MO and transferred to the Callaway County Jail.  Leesmann later posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.  

On January 15, 2021, at approximately 1:54 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the area of County Road 328 and County Road 337.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy attempted to stop Joseph Understood, 29, of Fulton, MO for a traffic violation.  Underwood subsequently fled and a pursuit ensued, traveling several county and state roadways in the Guthrie and New Bloomfield area.  Understood subsequently crashed along County Road 374.  Underwood was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Underwood with the felony offenses of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Assault, and Resisting Arrest.  Underwood was later transferred to the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections (MDOC) for state parole violations.  

On January 19, 2021, at 8:55 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies – assisted by the MUSTANG drug task force – executed a drug search warrant at a residence on County Road 203 near Fulton.  The warrant had been issued as the result of an ongoing Callaway County Sheriff’s Office drug investigation.  Methamphetamine and other felony level controlled substances were located.  Damon Sheets, 45, of Fulton, MO was arrested for Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.  Sheets was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he later posted bond and was released pending Court appearance. 

On January 19, 2021, at 9:57 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a weapons related disturbance in the area of County Road 240.  Subsequently, Helen Salmons, 54, of Kingdom City, MO was arrested for felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon and felony Domestic Assault.  Salmons was transported to the Callaway County Jail where she remains in-custody pending bond post. 

On January 19, 2021, the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation in the Holts Summit area.  As a result of the investigation, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Zachary Seidner, 33, of Holts Summit, MO with Felony Abuse of a Child.  Deputies arrested Seidner and transported him to the Callaway County Jail where he remains in custody pending bond post. 

On January 20, 2021, at 12:43 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the area of State Road T.  During the course of the investigation, deputies contacted Ronald Eversley, 46, of Columbia, MO.  Eversley was found to be in possession of heroin.  Eversley was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, and later released with summons for Court appearance. 

On January 21, 2021, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the area of County Road 340.  During the course of the investigation, multiple items of stolen property were located, in addition to a stolen vehicle.  Jason Mushrush, 31, of Fulton, MO was arrested for Felony Tampering 1st and Felony Stealing.  Mushrush was transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed, and later posted bond. 

On January 21, 2021, at 2:24 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the area of County Road 220.  During the course of the investigation, deputies located and arrested Casey Stotts, 35, of Fulton, MO.  Stotts was wanted reference a felony Missouri Department of Corrections (MDOC) warrant for state parole violations.  Stotts was transported to the Callaway County Jail and later transferred to the custody of MDOC.

On January 23, 2021, at 12:30 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the area of State Road AA.  During the course of the investigation, deputies arrested Ashley Suggett, 35, of Holts Summit, MO for the felony offense of Trafficking Drug 2nd (arrest warrant had been issued for Suggett as the result of a past investigation conducted by deputies in the Kingdom City area, during which 105 grams of methamphetamine were located; street value of approximately $10,000).  Suggett was transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed, and later released after bond post.

On January 24, 2021, at 2:05 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the area of State Road CC.  During the course of the investigation, deputies located Joni Wolfe, 37, of Steedman, MO.  Wolfe was wanted reference a felony Missouri Department of Corrections (MDOC) warrant for state parole violations, in addition to a State of Illinois felony warrant.  Wolfe was transported to the Callaway County Jail and later transferred to the custody of MDOC.

On January 24, 2021, at 5:04 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the area of Old Highway 54 near New Bloomfield.  During the course of the investigation, deputies located Ashley Shockley, 31, of Holts Summit, MO.  Shockley attempted to deceive deputies by providing a false identity.  Shockley was wanted reference a felony Phelps County warrant for probation violation (original charge of assault), in addition to a Cole County warrant.  Shockley was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and later transferred to the Cole County Jail.
