Deputies arrest Holts Summit felon for domestic violence, find him armed with firearm

Gordon Weathers, 57, of Holts Summit


On December 4, 2017 at 12:33 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance in progress involving weapons in the 1100 block of South Summit Drive just outside of Holts Summit.  Upon arrival and investigation, it was determined the suspect, Gordon Weathers, 57, of Holts Summit was allegedly armed and had left the residence prior to deputy arrival.

As deputies continued to investigate, they came into contact with Weathers at a location near US Highway 63 in far south Callaway County.  As the deputies approached Weathers, he actively possessed a firearm.  Deputies were able to take Weathers into custody without incident.  It was determined that Weathers had a past felony conviction in Greene County, thus for, he was prohibited from possessing any firearms.

Weathers was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he was booked / processed for probable cause charges of Domestic Assault and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (two counts).  Weathers is being held without bond pending a judge bond setting.
