Deputies investigation in Mokane leads to recovery of stolen ATV and methamphetamine arrest

SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATION IN MOKANE LEADS TO RECOVERY OF STOLEN ATV AND METH ARREST

Arrested person information:

Jamon Otey, 19, of Steedman

Narrative:

On August 15, 2019, at approximately 1:52 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a criminal investigation in the 300 block of Oak Street in Mokane.  During the course of the investigation, deputies recovered an ATV that had been reported stolen, in the area of State Road NN, on August 10, 2019.

During the course of the Mokane investigation, deputies arrested Jamon Otey, 19, of Steedman.  At the time of arrest, Otey was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  Otey was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he was booked/processed for the felony offenses of Receiving Stolen Property and Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Otey later posted $9,500 bond and was released pending Court appearance.
