Deputies investigate a road rage incident, arrest driver for marijuana and a felony controlled substance

SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATION ON STATE ROAD F LEADS TO FELONY DRUG ARREST

Sean Long, 36, of Fulton

Narrative: 

On May 25, 2018 at 7:01 p.m., Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a reported “road rage” incident on State Road F west of Fulton.  The reporting victim to the Sheriff’s Office reported the driver of the suspect vehicle pointed a gun at them during the incident.

A Callaway County deputy subsequently spotted the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on State Road F in Fulton.  Upon contacting the vehicle driver, Sean Long; the deputy observed a weapon in the vehicle.

During the course of the traffic stop investigation, the Sheriff’s Office K9 unit assisted and alerted on the suspect vehicle.  A subsequent search was conducted that led to the discovery of felony controlled substances (pills), marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Long was arrested for probable cause offenses of Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Long was further arrested for Assault and Careless and Imprudent Driving reference the initial “road rage” incident.  Long was booked/processed at the Callaway County Jail where he later posted a court-set $6,000.00 bond.
