Deputies, assisted by Callaway County Sheriff’s Office K9, arrest Fulton man for methamphetamine distribution

DRUG INVESTIGATION LEADS TO TRAFFIC STOP ON COUNTY ROAD 209 – ARREST MADE FOR DELIVERY OF METH

Arrested person information:

James Johnston, 33, of Fulton

Narrative: 

On July 31, 2018 at approximately 2:00 PM, Callaway County deputies were conducting a drug investigation in the Kingdom City area.  Subsequently, a suspect vehicle involved in the investigation was stopped by deputies on County Road 209 near County Road 210.  The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit responded to assist.

A vehicle passenger, James Johnston, 33, of Fulton was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.  Other drug related items consisted with the sale of drugs were found in the vehicle.

Johnston was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he was booked/processed for Felony Delivery of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Johnston is being held on a court-set bond of $7,500.00.
