Deputies arrest wanted fugitive outside of Millersburg after she provides false identity

DEPUTIES ARREST NEW BLOOMFIELD WOMAN FOR FELONY WARRANT AFTER ATTEMPT TO DECEIVE DEPUTIES

Arrested person information:

Dana Shepard, 38, of New Bloomfield

Narrative:

On June 28, 2019, at approximately 12:23 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a wanted person investigation in the 2000 block of White Oak Drive, off County Road 323, east of Millersburg.  During the investigation, deputies came into contact with Dana Shepard, 38, of New Bloomfield.  Shepard — whom was wanted in Boone County for a felony warrant (fraud offense) — attempted to deceive deputies by providing a false identity.  Shepard was subsequently arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail where she is being held on $5,000 bond.
