Deputies arrest two for felony drug released offenses during patrol of Holts Summit and New Bloomfield

On December 23, 2019, at approximately 10:33 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was conducting proactive patrol in the Holts Summit area.  During the patrol, the deputy stopped Kenneth Beck, 29, of Holts Summit for a traffic violation on South Summit Drive, south of Holts Summit.  During the subsequent investigation, a felony controlled substance and drug paraphernalia was located.  Beck was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he was booked/processed for Felony Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Beck was later released with summonses to appear in Court.

On December 24, 2019, at approximately 5:35 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted an investigation in the area of County Road 398, adjacent to the Boone County line west of New Bloomfield.  During the course of the investigation, the deputy came into contact with Montie Stiers, 51, of New Bloomfield.  Stiers was subsequently arrested reference a felony Callaway County warrant for failure to appear – Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth).  The charge was based on a past Sheriff’s Office drug investigation.  Stiers was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he later posted a $1,000 bond and was released.
