Deputies arrest two for Delivery of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) after investigation near Dixie

RURAL AREA PATROLS NET METH ARRESTS NEAR DIXIE

Arrested person information:

Russell Marrs, 55, of Hermann, MO

Lee Ann McGown, 35, of Tebbetts, MO

Narrative:

On August 30, 2019, at 11:54 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a suspicious activity investigation near County Road 456 and State Road PP in the Dixie area.  During the course of the investigation, deputies came into contact with Russell Mars, 55, of Hermann, MO and Lee Ann McGowan, 35, of Tebbetts, MO.  Deputies subsequently recovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Mars was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail for probable cause felony offenses of Delivery of a Controlled Substance (meth) and Tampering with Physical Evidence.  Mars later posted $8,000.00 bond and was released.

McGowan was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail for probable cause felony offenses of Delivery of a Controlled Substance (meth) and Tampering with Physical Evidence.  McGowan was also booked/processed for Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia.  McGowan remains in-custody pending $8,500 bond.
