FELONY WEAPON AND DRUG ARRESTS MADE DURING SHERIFF’S OFFICE PATROL OF CARRINGTON PITS OFF COUNTY ROAD 315

On September 7, 2018, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Anson Robinson, 18, of Fulton with the FELONY offenses of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (felon in possession), Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Robinson remains in-custody at the Callaway County Jail pending a court set bond of $15,000.00.
On September 7, 2018, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged D’Metrious Austin, 21, of Fulton with the FELONY offenses of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (felon in possession), Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Forgery, and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Austin posted a $20,000.00 court set bond and was released pending court appearance.
A third subject, Elijah Mayfield, 19, of Fulton was arrested for the FELONY offense of Tampering with Evidence, in addition to misdemeanor offenses of Possession of Marijuana and Littering. Mayfield posted a $1,500.00 court set bond and was released pending court appearance.
The aforementioned subjects were arrested by Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies at the Carrington Pits recreation area (Mark Twain National Forest property) off County Road 315 west of Fulton on September 6, 2018. At approximately 3:35 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling the area when he came upon the aforementioned subjects who were armed, during which; one subject discharged a firearm in close proximity to the deputy. Multiple other deputies responded, along with agents with the Missouri Department of Conservation. During the subsequent scene investigation; marijuana (felony amount), drug paraphernalia (items used for the sale of drugs), and counterfeit money was seized.
This investigation is ongoing and further charges are possible.
