DEPUTIES ARREST THREE NEAR PORTLAND AFTER FOUR HOUR SEARCH – METH AND STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERED

Arla Gulledge, 32, of Holts Summit, MO
On January 7, 2020, at approximately 2:56 p.m., Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 8000 block of County Road 4055 near Portland to investigate a stealing offense in-progress.
Upon the arrival of deputies, a suspect vehicle was found abandoned in the area. Investigative information led deputies to search for three suspects who’d fled the scene on foot. Several additional Callaway County deputies, including the two Sheriff’s Office K9 units, and troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to conduct an extensive search of the area for the suspects.
Over the course of nearly four hours, all three suspects were located by deputies in various locations around the Portland area. During the course of the search and arrests, several articles of stolen property were located and recovered. Deputies also recovered various drug related items, including methamphetamine.
Jason Cochran, 43, of Fulton was arrested for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth), Felony Possession of Burglar Tools, Stealing, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Trespassing. Cochran is being held in the Callaway County Jail without bond pending a Court bond setting.
Josephine Davison, 63, of Auxvasse was arrested for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth), Stealing, Trespassing, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Davison is being held in the Callaway County Jail pending $7,000 bond.
Arla Gulledge, 32, of Holts Summit was arrested for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth), Stealing, Trespassing, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. At the time of Gulledge’s arrest, she was also wanted reference Felony Callaway County and Audrain County warrants for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Forgery. Gulledge is being held without bond in the Callaway County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing and further arrests and/or charges are possible.
